Volunteers Build Playground at Berston Field House

More than 180 volunteers helped build a new playground at Berston Field House on September 16, 2016. The United Way of Genesee County and the Make An Impact Foundation teamed up to bring new playgrounds to the city of Flint, including at Berston.

“The city of Flint has a playground desert because a number of the elementary schools have closed and they've taken the playgrounds out. So by this being right here, we feel like this is going to be a great piece for the north end of town,” said Bryant Nolden, executive director of Friends of Berston.

Building the playground took a lot of helping hands, five hours and a whole lot of heart. See the stories on ABC12 here and here

Thank you to all of our volunteers for helping bring these playgrounds to life for Flint kids! Berston playground build volunteer
