Volunteer: Lunch ServerWe are looking for someone to serve take-out lunches out our backdoor to clients. This position involves helping prepare lunches in the morning and then serving the lunches. The Server will use a drop box system so that they are compliant with COVID-19 safety precautions, greet clients in a friendly manner and fill out a data sheet with client's zip codes, how many lunches served and the number in their household. At the end of the day, Servers will help with some light cleaning. This position requires someone who is friendly and outgoing, meticulous, has problem solving and critical thinking skills, can do some light lifting and willing to work as a team player. We also need someone who is not afraid to enforce the rules of the Soup Kitchen, i.e. not letting folks inside the building without an appointment, etc. Does this sound like you? Apply today! Provide a warm, friendly greeting to all donors
Instruct and make donor comfortable in registration procedures
Maintain smooth flow of donors into donation area
Be alert and notify Red Cross staff if a donor does not appear to be feeling well
Offer refreshments and conversation
Explain importance of blood donations and encourage people to donate regularly
Help schedule appointments for the next blood drive
Set up and maintain cleanliness in canteen area
Screen blood donors for any health concerns
