Volunteer: Lunch ServerWe are looking for someone to serve take-out lunches out our backdoor to clients. This position involves helping prepare lunches in the morning and then serving the lunches. The Server will use a drop box system so that they are compliant with COVID-19 safety precautions, greet clients in a friendly manner and fill out a data sheet with client's zip codes, how many lunches served and the number in their household. At the end of the day, Servers will help with some light cleaning. This position requires someone who is friendly and outgoing, meticulous, has problem solving and critical thinking skills, can do some light lifting and willing to work as a team player. We need support in launching our Prescription Food Pantry Program in partnership with Oak Street Health and we need someone who can make food bags specifically catered to people with dietary restrictions. For example, food bags catered to those with diabetes, low sodium diets, heart healthy food bags and more. We have the food and the bags, we just need some education! We will provide volunteers with lunch, special perks throughout the year, letters of recommendation and documented service hours for any community service that they may need to fulfill.
