Needed is the expertise and compassion nurses have to visit patients and families of hospice patients one time a week to provide quality care.  Volunteer at a location near you to make someone smile, relieve their loneliness, give a break to a caregiver.  Visit a patient in a facility near you.  Read to a patient, play board games, hold their hand and talk to them or play music for them.  Flexible to work around your schedule visiting as little as one hour one time a week.   Make a difference just "being there".  It's not fattening, doesn't cost anything and you will be enriched!   Call or email for more information.

Volunteer needed to have fun running an exercise program one time a week for about an hour at a facility in Lapeer.  Lead residents through exercises to look to the right, look to the left, shrug their shoulders, reach up to the sky, etc.  Residents have fun, laugh and smile.  Training and orientation provided.

Volunteers needed for busy office.  Pleasant atmosphere.   Friendly staff!  Office hours 8:30 a.m - 5:00 p.m.   Help out one day a week for four hours. 

Clerical volunteers can help answer phones, make phone calls, stuff mailers, put together packets, do computer work, copy, sort and file paperwork at our headquarters.

This is a big help to us!

Musicians or singers needed to entertain seniors.  Groups of any size welcome.    Share your talent with a lonely man or woman in a nursing home, assisted living or adult foster care home in your area.    Bring a smile to their face and joy to their life.  Volunteer  playing an instrument and or leading a sing along.   This will be a rewarding experience for you as well as the residents of the facilities.  Contact Heart to Heart Hospice for more information.

We are looking for someone who is willing to be a Bingo caller and to play cards with groups at local senior living facilities once a week for about an hour. There are several locations to choose from.
