Snuggle Sacks

Snuggle Sacks was founded by 3 Genesee County siblings, and is currently run by them and their family.  The organization was born after the siblings had learned that their estranged grandfather had experienced homelessness in his time away from the family.  They immediately wanted to help others in the same situation, and started with the survival kits.  Now, they are also a source of information and resource director for other homeless services, as well as providing tiny pantries to various locations in Genesee County.

Snuggle Sacks strives to bring awareness to homelessness in our communities, and extinguish the stigma that goes along with it.  By providing homeless individuals with survival kits, we hope to drastically reduce the amount of medical emergencies due to environmental factors, and also provide other helpful resources, including medical benefits, employment assistance and HOPE.

They average 1,000 survival kits each month, and have 6 tiny pantries placed throughout Genesee County where people can have access to nonperishable food and toiletries 24/7.
