Who We Are
Re-Connections is a faith based non-profit organization whose mission is to empower citizens with felonies through Coaching, Education, and Employment for re-connection within our communities. The Re-Connections team has been serving the post-incarcerated within Genesee county since 2014. Our classrooms are located at 517 E. Fifth Ave., Flint, MI.
What We Do
Re-Connections offers assistance for returning citizens through a skills training, life coaching, and employment opportunities program.
The three major components of the Re-Connections program are:
Skills Training
Re-Connections provides (18) sessions of specialized classroom instruction to ready an individual for employment opportunities. Session topics include goal setting, identifying roadblocks, resume design, mock interviews, dressing for success, language skills and financial literacy.
Life Coaching
Leadership, responsibility and character building are highlighted through life coaching. Upon course completion, participants will be connected with a Life Coach to help guide them on their journey. The participant agrees to stay connected with the Life Coach for a minimum period of six months.
Employment Opportunities
Individuals will be placed into employment opportunities available through our community business partners and various programs. Job placement begins to help our returning citizens attain housing and transportation in addition to becoming a contributing member in their community.
