Consider a Summer Associate AmeriCorps VISTA Position!
Serve at one of four great sites:
- Boys & Girls Club of Greater Flint
Ensure a safe, positive and fun environment for youth
during non-school months. Develop, implement and
facilitate programs focusing on: Academic Success,
Good Character & Citizenship, and Healthy Lifestyles
- Catholic Charities of Greater Flint
Assist with the implementation of a kid's summer camp
which will provide educational programming and the
distribution of upwards of 750 meals per day.
- Crim Fitness Foundation
Support sports-based youth development at Flint
elementary schools, summer running clubs, and nutrition
and garden education with a STEM focus. Teach kids
about healthy eating, physical conditioning, and food
security.
- Food Bank of Eastern Michigan
Support the distribution of around 7,000 meals per week
to agencies that support summer meal programs,
oversee teens and volunteers in food sorting and
assembly, and promote nutrition outreach programs
focusing on foods that mitigate lead exposure.

In return for service, members receive intensive professional development, a living allowance ($1,026.00 per month), and a Summer Education Award ($1,289.95) OR Stipend ($345.80).
