The Flint Institute of Arts is looking for dedicated volunteers to assist with key tasks such as coat check, guest registration, pouring wine, and guarding artwork, at this year's 21st Annual Wine Tasting on Saturday, April 30th.
The Wine Tasting is presented by the Flint Institute of Arts and the Junior League of Flint every spring to raise funds to support museum programming and outreach programs for PreK-12 students, as well as the Junior League of Flint and its community partners.
We ask that volunteers wear nice black pants and a top, or dress if you prefer. Volunteers arrive at 5:30 pm to enjoy pizza and water prior to the volunteer orientation at 5:45 pm. Please note that volunteers may not partake in any wine or food consumption at the event.
The lobby houses permanent installations by Calder, Chihuly, and Pfaff. Our primary directive is to protect the art displayed and stored in the museum. If you enjoy people watching and don’t mind tactfully reminding guests not to stand too close to our photorealist painting by Yigal Ozeri then we would love to have you join our volunteer team.
If you have further questions please don't hesitate to reach out to Lauren Watkins, Events & Beverage Assistant, lwatkins@flintarts.org. We appreciate your support, let me know if you have any questions.
