This is a fun filled weekend for families and our community. The Gus Macker is the third largest event in our community behind the CRIM and Back to the Bricks, and helps local business with nearly 7,000 people, spectators, families and operations team that attend. Not only will you help make a difference in lives the of children receiving afterschool and meal programs and struggling families, you'll be making an impact on the local economy. We are helping to build leaders and entrepreneurs of the future through The Salvation Army L.I.F.E. Center as we help youth discover their gifts and build character that can make them successful in the future as they dream big.

REGISTRATION – Help check-in players and confirm eligibility. (25 to 30 Volunteers needed each day)

GENERAL EVENT SUPPORT – Way finding, hospitality, trash bins, stocking porta potties, general sanitation. (15 Volunteers throughout the entire event.)

COURT ASSISTANTS – Score keepers and Assistant officials (minimum of 25 /maximum of 60 volunteers throughout game play on Saturday and Sunday.)

BRACKET SCHEDULING - Update brackets, training provided, knowledge of tournament scheduling helpful. (2-4 Volunteers throughout the tournament.)

Please be sure you are able to withstand heat and can tolerate conditions of the roles before registering. We will provide tents for score keepers and registration staff, however other roles will be open to the elements, Consider wearing sunscreen, hats, bringing ear plugs to withstand the stage music, announcements or noise created by generators or the crowd. This is a family friendly event, no smoking, alcohol or drug use on premises. We also ask that attendees avoid provocative clothing. Volunteers should wear appropriate foot wear and clothing that is modest while allowing you to stay cool. Gus Macker volunteer shirts will be provided. We will provide water and meals, if you have special dietary restrictions coolers will be available for you to bring your food.
