Flushing Christian Outreach Center

Community means people have a sense of belonging. It is a feeling created by relationships nurtured by shared experiences and supported by resources available as needed and offered without judgement but with compassion. The responsibility of the community to collectively and individually care for each other is inherent. FCOC accomplishes this by maintaining unwavering respect for human dignity and offering hope for sustainable independence when community members find themselves in hardship situations. The Flushing Christian Outreach Center is an inter-denominational organization made up of a team of dedicated and passionate volunteers from the Flushing, MI, reaching out with God’s love to help meet the physical, spiritual and emotional needs of the people in our community.

Our mission is to respond to the needs of the whole person: physical, spiritual and emotional by providing food, clothing and connections to local existing ministries and available resources through a centralized volunteer-based center.

Our Right now, we have openings at our FCOC Clothing Center. We take pride in the organization of our center. We accept new or like-new garments donated from the community. The Clothing Center is like an outlet store as opposed to a thrift store. We are looking for volunteers to help us sort, hang, and work with clients while they shop. All clothing is free of charge to our Flushing clients.
