Our Mission is to build financial resources that enable investments in education, financial stability, health and basic needs addressing Genesee and Shiawassee County’s most pressing challenges while building community-wide vitality

United Way of Genesee County works in the four impact areas of health, education, financial stability and basic needs. We work in these areas by partnering and funding over 150 local programs throughout the county. As you can see in the chart below, that equals out to an over $16 million dollars in community impact in Genesee County.  $412,300 is the total impact for 2020 in Shiawassee County.
