Who We Are
Two very passionate friends with big hearts, both female entrepreneurs and a background in the healthcare field, have come together with their families to develop an Adult Day Healthcare Center for elderly, handicapped and veteran adults within a community-based group setting outside of the home. The day services have been designed to help assist families who are caring for their loved ones. These services will re-establish culture within a working class community by creating an atmosphere where participants can come together and socialize with other participants who look like themselves, and have similar desires and hobbies. We are committed to developing and strengthening skills to help enhance their abilities to maintain stability through different life situations that they face on a daily basis.
What We Do
The purpose of the Unity Adult Day Club (Adult Day Healthcare Services) is to provide a coordinated program of professionals and compassionate services for adults in a community-based group setting. Services are designed to embrace the participant and their support systems (family member, caregiver, guardians, spouses, significant others and case managers). As a Medical/Health Model Center, our services are designed to provide social activities as well as more intensive health and therapeutic services to adults who need supervised care in a safe environment outside of the home during the day. We also provide respite and a reliable source of support, restore balance in times of crisis and enhance overall quality of life for the participant and their caregiver. Experience has shown that the participants of Adult Day Healthcare Centers, as well as their families, benefit from the activities and social exchange that they provide. Participants often sleep and eat better, their behavior becomes less of a problem, and their communication, and motor skills improve. With such improvements, the participants, their families and their caregivers can avoid or postpone placement into a nursing home or long-term care facility.
