Who We Are

In August of 1977, Michigan House Speaker Bobby Crim and his assistant Lois Craig launched the first Bobby Crim 10 Mile Road Race.  Little did they know that they were embarking on a journey that would change the City of Flint forever!  In the over 40 years since those first days as a race organization, the Crim Fitness Foundation has evolved into a highly regarded 501(c) 3 non-profit organization impacting the lives of thousands.

What We Do

In the past 42 years, the Bobby Crim 10 mile has expanded to the HAP Crim Festival of Races and in addition to the 10 mile, there is also an 8k, 5k, Michigan Mile (one mile) and a kids’ Teddy Bear Trot. the Festival averages about 15,000 runners and walkers every year and brings about 60,000 people to Downtown Flint. In order to make the Crim possible we need 2,500-3,000 volunteers during race week! Tasks include packet pick-up, traffic support, food and beverage tent, and more!
