Be a Tourist in Your Home Town

2nd Annual Be a Tourist in Your Home Town will take place on Saturday, July 19, 2014. This one-day event offers Flint & Genesee residents, and non-residents, to come out and experience what our community has to offer, something many have not done in years.

For just $1.00 per person, tourists (participants) can purchase a Passport which gives them the opportunity to visit and enjoy many different venues around Flint & Genesee. Last year, more than 15 Greater Downtown Flint Area attractions opened their doors for this event including the Riverfront/Dorms, The Capitol, Whaley Historic House Museum, Flint Institute of Arts, The Whiting (backstage tours), Applewood Estates, Sloan Museum, Buick Gallery and more. This Passport is also valid for discounts at many businesses and restaurants in Downtown Flint’s Entertainment District. Complimentary transportation between attractions will be provided by Flint’s co-sponsor Mass Transportation Authority. Buses will run from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
