Genesee Serves, as the volunteer center for the county, is here to build capacity within groups and nonprofits who manage volunteers and to connect community members with volunteer opportunities. With capacity building in mind, each month we offer workshops for those who are task with volunteer management.
This month join us on a session involving the orientation and training of volunteers within your organization. At the end of the session, participants will be able to:
- Describe the importance of orienting and training volunteers and staff
- Identify roles for planning and delivering orientation and training
- Design effective volunteer orientation
- Assess training needs and design training to equip volunteers and staff
