Join members of the Volunteer Services Department as we discuss what's new for the month of November at A-One Hospice!
These monthly meetings are a great way to introduce and get acquainted with your fellow volunteers, gain further education related to hospice volunteering and to find out what other resources are being made available to you through the agency. Coffee and doughnuts will be provided. Training for new volunteers will immediately follow.
Please RSVP so that we may have an accurate headcount to ensure we have right amount of training materials on-hand. This event is open to the public. Walk-ins welcome. You are encouraged to bring a friend!
SCHEDULE:
Laura Ruhle from the Michigan Great Lakes Chapter of The Alzheimer's Association (http://www.alz.org/) will be joining us for an in-service to educate the group all about Alzheimer's disease and related dementia. This will be a an excellent chance to learn about the disease, how it progresses and the different ways we can interact with patients in a beneficial and therapeutic fashion. There will be a multimedia presentation and some hand-outs to take home. Come ready to learn!
