Overview:
Lunch event at Durant-Tuuri Mott Elementary, to celebrate spring and our sixth grade students. We will do two sessions for the sixth graders, totaling around 60 students.
Goals:
Teach youth about basic seeding techniques and how they can begin planting at home. Every kid will be sent home with their own ceramic pot, soil, and seeds.
Tap into our kids’ creativity and have them express themselves by creating signs for our Garden Area. Signs will be used to explain what each plant is and the proper conditions needed for its growth.
A nutritious lunch from Jimmy John’s will be provided to every child who desires one.
