We all have very busy schedules, but we are hoping you can make time to show the importance of reading. Did you know March is “Reading Month”? In partnership with Doyle Ryder Elementary, we are inviting you to come celebrate by reading to the students at Doyle Ryder Elementary School.
We encourage community members and leaders to spend 20 minutes or as much time as you can, reading to a grade of your choice. The school is Pre-K thru 6th grade. They had 50 to 75 guest readers last year and would like to increase that number this year.
All you need to do is, check your busy schedule and pick a time that will be best for you, then call Shari Burdt at 767-8180 and she will add you to the master schedule. You can bring a favorite book or they will have a great selection there for you to choose from. It is really a fun day for the “Celebrity Guest Readers” as well as students. There is always good food as a special “Thanks” for coming.
