Camp Casey’s mission is to provide safe, fun experiences for children and families affected by childhood cancer, rare blood disorders, and other life-threatening illnesses through accessible horseback riding programs.
Volunteers must be at least 16 years of age, comfortable around a horse, but no horse experience is required. We show up with our own trained equine staff members. Volunteers will be assisting the children at the Horsey House Call visit with crafts, games, side walking with the horse during rides, passing out pizza lunch, taking photos with Camp Casey's equipment. Overall, we are there to ensure the children stay safe and entertained during our short visit with the family.
- Be in good physical health and able to stand for at least three hours, often in hot weather and direct sun.
- Be able to wear a mask while around the children for the visit.
