A Hospice Volunteer doesn't do any direct patient care-- that's what our professionals do. Instead, our volunteers provide companionship by sitting, listening, talking to and playing games with patients. Being a hospice volunteer is one of the easiest and most rewarding things you can do. Flexible to work around your busy schedule. Volunteer close to home. Volunteer as little as one hour one time a week making someone smile!
What's it take to become a volunteer? An application, two personal referances, a background check, finger-printing, TB test and some brief training (all done free of charge).
