Primary Options and Responsibilities:
Cooking Matters at the Store
Lead adult community members through the aisles of their local supermarket highlighting affordable and healthy food options.
• Complete an online and in-person training
• Order tour materials
• Recruit 6-8 participants to participate in the tour
• Report tour reach by returning participant surveys and tour reporting forms (provided)
Qualifications and Length of Service:
This can be a one-time or ongoing role.
• Be a self-starter
• Preferably have some understanding of nutrition incentives and the Supplemental Assistance Program (SNAP or Bridge)
• Have people and public speaking skills
• Have knowledge of basic nutrition
