Volunteers and Agency Partners will be performing the HUD Mandated Annual Point in Time Count. This count serves as a collaborative effort to count those who are experiencing homelessness in Flint and Genesee County.  The data collected during the count is utilized to advocate for future funding, to provide assistance and services to those in need. The Flint/Genesee County Point In Time Count is coordinated by the Flint/ Genesee County Continuum of Care- A collaborative group of agencies working together to address homelessness in our area.  

 

The annual Flint/Genesee County Point in Time (PIT) Count: night count will take place on Tuesday, January 29th from 9:00 PM and going until to 2:00 AM on January 30th.  The day counts will take place both Wednesday and Thursday (January 30th and 31st) at our pre-determined sites from 11:30 AM 1:30 PM and 4:30 PM to 6:00 PMJust a reminder that when doing the night count, you will NEVER be alone.  You will be with your experienced team leader. SAFETY is our main concern.
