Description

World Water Day is an annual United Nations observance day that highlights the importance of freshwater. The day is used to advocate for the sustainable management of freshwater resources. The City of Flint will be distributing water to residents of Flint in need. We are in need of volunteers for this event, if you are interested in volunteering at this event please register or contact lmassey@cityofflint.com. We will need volunteers to help with setup, pass out water, direct traffic, and provide information to residents. 

This event will be in five locations in Flint: 

Flint City Hall

Asbury Church

New Jerusalem Full Gospel Baptist

Calvary United Methodist Church

Grace Emmanuel Baptist Church

We will be placing volunteers at the five site locations. Volunteers please show up at your designated site by 2:30 pm for registration and task instructions.  We will send volunteers' site locations before the day of the event. 

Site Registration Starts: 1:30 pm

Volunteer Task Instructions: 2:00-2:30 pm

Water Giveaway: 3:00-7:00 pm
