Join the Volunteer Tutor Alliance—a grassroots effort bringing together everyday people to support adult learners across Genesee County. We match volunteer tutors with learners in a variety of settings: one-on-one sessions, Adult Learning Centers (ALCs), and even community spaces like libraries or local nonprofits. You don’t need to be a teacher—just someone who cares. We’ll give you all the training and support you need, including a welcoming onboarding process, ongoing workshops, and tools aligned with statewide best practices. As a tutor, you’ll become part of a bigger movement—a coordinated network working to expand adult literacy, open doors to opportunity, and build stronger communities.
