The Chavez-Huerta Legacy Luncheon is our most highlighted event of the year. It brings together 200 community members, leaders, and allies to celebrate the achievements of astonishing leaders of human rights. Their humanitarian approach for unionism and aggressive but nonviolent tactics made the farm workers struggle a moral cause with nationwide support. For this, and many other reasons we are hosting a celebration in their honor. As well, to raise funds needed to support our important work in the community.
Volunteers will participate in different tasks including decorating the event center, registering community members to the event, handing out information to community members, and setting up/taking down the event center. With your help we can continue to make this annual and cultural event a success.
