Or you have volunteer in the past and just looking to broaden your experiences. As a hospice volunteer you can truly change a patient's world by just stopping in to see how they are doing or what activities they did for the day. Many of our patients have no visitors and only interact with staff or other residents who may not have the time to sit and talk. Being a hospice volunteer helps one become more compassionate and empathic. Maybe you already have those qualities and want to use them where they are needed the most. Training to become a volunteer is done at the convenience of your time and location. Visiting the patients will be on your time. No schedules or shifts to follow. Flexibility will be at its finest when you come to volunteer with us.
