Join United Way of Genesee County at Center for Hope for the Accelerator Kickoff + 9/11 Day of Remembrance and Service Wednesday, September 11.
We’ll partner with Catholic Charities of Shiawassee and Genesee Counties for our 9/11 day of service, supporting Center for Hope and North End Soup Kitchen. Possible tasks include:
- Preparing food
- Organizing pantries
- Serving meals
- Sorting donations
- Organizing warehouse
- Improving facility grounds
- Creating plarn, plastic yarn to be made into mats for people experiencing homelessness (low-mobility project)
- Creating laundry soap for use by clients in Catholic Charities laundry facility (low-mobility project)
Transportation provided for those serving at North End Soup Kitchen. Lunch provided to all.
