A jumper is a person who rides along with a Meal-On-Wheels driver to assist with the delivery of meals to those in needs. You will be riding in their car. (We would love to have you work with someone you know. If you have a friend who has signed up as a driver, please put that in the notes upon responding to this opportunity.)
A background check will be REQUIRED! (I-CHAT) We understand you might not have this. Do NOT worry, we can have you fill out the paper work once you register for this opportunity and work on a pretty quick turn around time once you arrive.
You will be given a client list which includes a phone number so that you can call them to tell them you will be arriving shortly. This will allow for them to be ready for you. Some clients will require you to drop the meal inside their house due to a disability. The call will allow for you to set up with them the safest way for you both to use social distancing to stay safe.
End time is approximate, and could be earlier.
Once you register for this opportunity, a waiver and the ICHAt paper work will be emailed to you.
GCCARD is following social distancing guidelines of 6 feet. They do have gloves and masks, but masks are hard to come by. It is appreciated that if you do have your own face mask, that you please use it.
