We aplogogize to those registered who have not recieved the KNOW BEFORE YOU GO email, with instructions for the day. We are trying to find the issue. We are unsure if it is with the Genesee Serves site, or the firewall at our office as we did move locations recently. Here is the information for those ALREADY REGISTERED:

Bottled water will be available at the event.
Other details:
We are so excited to have 700+ people registered for this event. We have NOT pre-assigned each volunteer to a line. After
check-in at the event, try to get with your group prior to the program start.
You will be standing for the majority of this event, however there will be a seating area for those needing a rest. The floor is concrete!
We thank you again for taking your time to volunteer. We are excited to be honoring Dr. King's legacy by taking this "day off" as a day to serve others and combat the social ill of hunger. At the end of the morning, we will have packed 200,000 meals for Genesee County Families.
"Everybody can be great, because anybody can serve. You don't have to have a college degree to serve. You don't have to have to make your subject and your verb agree to serve. You don't have to know about Plato and Aristotle to serve. You don't have to know Einstein's "Theory of Relativity" to serve. You don't have to know the Second Theory of Thermal Dynamics in Physics to serve. You only need a heart full of grace, a soul generated by love." - Excerpted from "The Drum Major Instinct", a sermon by Rev. Martin Luther King, Jr., 1968.

Dr. King believed that many social ills could be defeated through citizen service. Recognizing that 1 in 5 Genesee County families deal with hunger, we are setting out to combat this by engaging neighbors to help neighbors.
Please join us for a day ON rather than a day off on Martin Luther King Jr. Day! We will be packing 200,000 meals to provide to local Genesee County residents who are experiencing food insecurity.
No experience needed and all ages can participate - great for kids (ages 5+).
Registration is required for each volunteer. Lunch will be provided.
